    Cowboys luck comes through again.

How this team is allowed to be anywhere near this position year after year just blows my mind. They should be 5-9 right now, yet thanks to pure dumb luck, they're "tied for first" in the NFC.

Yup. Let's hope that, two Sundays from now, the Redskins put a stop to that. If New Orleans doesn't do it first. If next week the Redskins win and the Cowboys and Giants lose next week (probably <20% chance), I'm pretty sure the Redskins would clinch the division and maybe one or both of those teams would be eliminated.

Kirk Cousins - nice find who raises the question of whether RG3 would seem so awesome without the deep offense around him. The Redskins probably should hold onto Cousins through next season, for injury insurance. The crazy thing is that there's little need to trade him for picks, as the team could easily fill its few holes from within and with existing picks and free agency. I don't know how this year will end, but the Redskins should be scary good next year.

Congrats on another 8-8 or 9-7 season, missing the playoffs, and not even getting a good draft pick out of it. I hope JJ never relinquishes control of the team

It was one of those last minute bad choices. I should have chose to change Carolina instead...

And the SEA game, running up 50 pts, did BUF even get on the field?

GOOD...he's probably cocky as shit when they win too.

It was funny though, the 49ers actually left after the first drive of the second half, then came back halfway through the 4th and STILL won. Kudos to SF for having the NE offense completely figured out. Things are going to be ALOT harder for NE now that SF has shown upcoming opponents how to stop that offense.

I wouldn't call letting NE put up 34 points having them "figured out". I don't think there's any figuring out to do...Brady is an elite QB that can't be stopped even if you give the other team his playbook. That doesn't mean they can't lose because they obviously did and have in the past but the other team has to put up 35+ points to do it. It's a shoot out between offenses when playing NE...you either keep up with Brady or you lose.

Now Atlanta has New York figured out

    NFC East possibilities...
    1. The Redskins and Cowboys both would win the division by winning out. The Giants win a wild-card spot at worst by winning out.
    2. If the Redskins and Cowboys both win in Week 16, their Week 17 rematch will decide the NFC East champion. No matter what the Giants do next week.
    3. The Giants won't win any tiebreaker for the division. So their only chance to win the division would be to win it outright.
    4. The Redskins have the easiest path, with the Philadelphia Eagles and a home game against the Cowboys remaining. Dallas has the toughest path, facing the New Orleans Saints before heading to Washington. The Giants' game in Baltimore next week doesn't look so tough anymore.

The 49ers held NE to 3 points for two and a half quarters. That's pretty well figured out if you ask me. NE then adjusted and started scoring again, then SF adjusted and stopped them cold, again. It's how football works. You try something, if it doesn't work, try something else...keep trying and hope you find success.

Brady can be stopped, as the Giants have proven beyond a doubt by holding Brady & Co to well under 20 points in both SB meetings. There is no QB or offense that can't be stopped. For New England, you have to have corners that are good enough to hold up in man coverage, so you can position your safety(s) to bait Brady into the short throw...allowing the completion, BUT not allowing yards after the catch. That's EXACTLY what SF did last night for two and half quarters. The only thing that worked at all for NE was the screen, so they resorted to all kinds of exotic looks to execute various screen plays, effectively clawing and scraping their way down the field. It worked, until the 49ers figured that out too. New York used a similar formula, but they took it further by also beating the piss out of Brady on every single opportunity.

There's a formula for every team, you just have to find it.
