Black- 1999 camaro
I live near the dealership that did this. It's Best Chevy, and I'm pretty sure a group of investors own it and 5 other dealerships. It was not very reputable to begin with and has some shady folks working there. A very good friend of mine's mom works there (she hates it) and I do feel sorry for her for having to hear the phone calls...but they need to clean house of anyone involved in this, and that is pretty much what gm has said is going to happen. The owner is on camaro5 if anyone wants to see the thread. Their reputation is non existent now! This has been on every blog and car forum on the net!!
I didn't know that they had come to a settlement already. The cars kbb + 10% is CRAP!! His first offer was a "free tank of gas" LOLLast edited by 1999slpss; 10-10-2012 at 05:39 PM.

LMAO!! Yea I would too. After reading the resolution article
Dealership in Camaro-thrashing story buys back car from satisfied owner | Motoramic - Yahoo! Autos
I highly doubt they will fire the 3 morons who drove the car. They act like what they did was justifiable...PATHETIC!!

I'd be next to you throwing the match! I had a dealership peel out in my car when I brought it in for a balance and rotate. My friend went with me and we followed them during the alignment test. Asshat sat in a parking lot for a good 2 minutes roasting my tires. I taped him on my iphone and was furious. When he got back to the dealership I met him at my car door screaming at him. There was rubber all over the fender well and back bumper. Jerk tried to play it off saying it was like that when I brought it in. I ended up getting a new set of nittos and pads that he burnt up for free. Thankfully my situation was easily resolved with one talk with the manager and the guy was fired.

We have fired several people for abusing customers vehicles. The staff we have now pretty much know not to be jackasses. I just hate the fact that there are dealers out there that do this kind of shit. It paints us all in a bad light because they assume all dealers are the same. The only cars I abuse, are the whole sale units... those are a blast to derby around.
Your car wouldn't stand a chance

Hell, even the "boss" would put a beating on it. I wouldn't doubt the secretary would want to also. I know, it's THAT sexy

So after this long drawn out ordeal he donates the money to charity??!! You'd think he'd buy another one elsewhere. Hell I feel bad for the poor sucker who gets that car at the march of dimes auction.

I have the update. Thanks, Jeff. Appears there are a few threads about this floating around here. The other one is in the Camaro SS section I think.

I only use a local shop for front end alignments, I do everything else myself. Luckily they are a good group of guys that specialize in classic cars in the area (it's where all the clubs go)
When I tell them there will be no test driving, Just put it on the rack, align it and take if off, they completely understand
