Battery adapter
Anyone know a good source for a battery terminal adapter (for connecting a ring lug to for an amplifier)? I assume this is the common way to power amps in these cars.
I also noticed there's a 12V stud on the passenger side right next to the fuse blocks, looks perfect for attaching a ring lug, I was going to use this. Anyone ever done this option? If this is OK I'd rather do it then adapt the battery terminal.

Most likely the power wire from your amp will be coming through where the PCM is....thats how I did it....i got an extension stud for the battery and a 18" 4AWG premade battery cable from CarQuest and piggy backed the terminals then ran the other end to the fuse holder then whatever cable you are running to the amp from the otherside of the fuseholder. Did the same thing for the ground, but grounded it to the car.

When you use the extension stud for the battery, do you still retain the red factory cable bundle?
Would this work?Last edited by slade8200; 09-13-2012 at 06:21 AM.

I use these for sidepost batteries to connect stuff to it ( and other things obviously ). I used this ring to connect my ground to my head for my wideband. It's meant to go on a sidepost battery and then you just put a 1/4" spade connector on your wire and plug it in. Get them at any autoparts store.

Thanks, but I'm not sure those would be good enough for high-current applications like an aftermarket audio amp.
Could be wrong, perhaps others have had good luck with it.
