Black- 2000 Trans-Am WS6
so i replaced the battery cuz it had a dead cell anyway, and that did not fix the issue. then i adjusted the headlight to full open manually, and figured "hey, why not try and see if the motor will even make it go down?", so i tried and it went down, so i turned them back on AND IT WENT UP.....so i dont know if maybe the pivot arm just went too far the last time it closed and got stuck to where the motor thought it was all the way up when it was really down. but hey, now i have a perfectly working headlight again

I tried the 180 trick but it didn't work for me, still made noise (going up instead of down). I purchased a new gear and will swap it this weekend.
Will any epoxy work to seal it up ?

Where are you guys ordering gears from? I've seen a popular one but most of the posts from it are back in 07. Kinda scared to order from him, dunno if he's still active. Thanks

Scratch that. How do I get the gear out? Or rotate it. Is it the big white one? There's rust inside....

The guy who desided in the 80's that birds should have "hide away" head lights should be hauled out in the street by their ankles and beat on the head with a rubber hose pull of bb's..
They NEVER worked for long or well on ANY model bird..

sooo after about an hour of looking i got tired of looking.......can anyone supply me with the pn of the two headlamps (which i know are bought individually) and the bulb pn's for the turn signals as well as the bulb pn's for the brake lights. also does it matter what lamp goes where or are there specific lamps for hi and low beams other than just their location, sorry for stealing.

Lol yea that would be a good place to look huh? I found this website that has all led light conversions ( plug and play) superbrightleds dot com they have all the lights organized by location of the lights replacement such as rear stop light and turn signal, back up lights etc with the corresponding bulb numbers and relevance from original pn crossovers. Going to do blue led interior as well as instrument panel bc I like my interior in my sonata and it's all tron blue lol. So wish me good luck and thanks for the help

Interior lights have a ball. Exterior lights be careful when you go above 5000K as the color really starts to shift to blue and can/will attract law enforcement. HID bulbs are not DOT approved. Also as many have found there is a bit of a delay when you switch them on as they have to warm up so it will impact how quickly your high beams come up to full power.
I recently put a 35watt 5000K bulb in the low beam on my motorcycle and am very happy. Definitely shop around as prices are all over the map depending on the bulb, if you are getting them direct from China, or if they just have really convincing advertisement.
Good luck!

Whats wrong?
I installed a new plastic gear last weekend on the drivers side. It seemed to work properly after I finished. I turned the lights on and off to be sure it worked. I didn't drive the car again till Thursday night and it's doing it again. Any idea were I went wrong?
