Xlr Caddy
I was running errands this morning
, minding my own business driving on the highway. I look in my mirror and see orange DRL"S coming up on me fast, I take a drag of my smoke and throw it out the window, as I am putting my window back up, poppop gets next to me and starts playing around (xlr v-12)
its wet out so I am not playing back, oldman honks I look over and he throws up a beer
and then guns it, I have never herd so much whistle come from a car in my life(SC),
this car took off like a bat out of hell, I know they don't come with a SC from factory, this car was far from stock and had a decent exhaust note. On the back it had the v12 badge with a supercharged badge under it.
(never seen one witht hat badge). Just want to say those caddy's are bad ass, and the one I saw today probably give a lot of fast cars a run for there $$$. If it was better road conditions I would of tried him.P
rops to poppop in the bad ass caddy.

Well these are the specs of the stock XLR-V (the hi-po model)
It's s/c all right, but only 8 cyl. If what you saw was an s/c v-12, then he def did an engine swap. You sure it was a V-12? 443 HP on these babies is pretty good STOCK.
BTW, these things come loaded standard (no upcharge for options) and the msrp is $100K. ok so poppop is a rich fucker!
Engine Type: Supercharged 4.4L Northstar V8 SC
HP/TQ: 443 hp @ 6,400 rpm / 414 lb-ft @ 3,900 rpm
6500 rpm redline
Bore x Stroke: 91mm x 84mm
Compression Ratio: 9.0:1
Supercharger /Intake: Patented integral design, specific helical roots rotor set, 4 integrated intercoolers, 12 psi of boost
Valvetrain: Roller follower DOHC, 4 valves per cylinder, Variable Valve Timing (VVT)

It had a V12 badge with the silver supercharged badge under the v-12. I have never seen one before like that, its usually just v12. Around here at the beach I see a couple of XLRs and its usually always an old person driving.

umm, they don't come stock with v-12. The XLR's come stock with a Northstar V8 and the V model which you saw comes stock with a s/c V8. So when you say you "usually" see them with V-12, I tend to doubt that, these old fuckers aren't dropping new engines into their new Caddies are they?

I am 100% sure what I saw on the back of this caddy today. I wish I had a camera I would of gotton a shot of it.

Autoline detroit show says two 3.6 liter V6 motors welded together for building caddy's new XLR engine...
7.2 liter V12 for next generation of the Cadillac...coupe, convertible XLR and sedans...

XLR's do not come with V12's. GM doesnt even make a V12, yet. One is supposed to be in development though.
The emblem you saw was the V-Series emblem.

that was what I was thinking. at a distance you might think that flag thingie was a "12" The V series is to Cadillac what the "M" series is to BMW and AMG to Mercedes. speaking of AMG they've got an awesome v12 in their SL65 sports car. over 600 hp.

Custom Slate Blue- 99 B4C
There was an XLR-v around lubbock I have been trying to chase down but he always turns off when I get up on him, bitch. I did meet a guy the other day showing off his regular XLR. You don't know loaded until you see it in person, thise things are NICE. Power trunk up and down and everything. He said "I don't know what I'd do with more power, it's just too mcuh" I said "Want me to show you?" SO he got this you aren't in my league expression on his face and it took some convincing trash talk to get him to "waste his time" on me -cocky old coot. Humbling someone has never felt sweeter, it was the 5-speed auto and it ran like a dog (he puts 86 in it I'm not surprised) He was nice afterwards and was very interested in my car. He never did believe they are that fast from the factory though, he insisted I had extensive work in it that I wouldn't tell him about. I didn't lie, I told him I had headers no cats and a lid. He was like "well I bet if I put that stuff on mine, yours would be as slow as it looks compared to mine"
