Just had the preliminary welds on the axle tubes done to today.
Some clean up grinds and a couple of passes and it will be ready for the 2nd phase of mock up (modified ladderbar, aka see Spaz's rear setup)
It's been slow but it's moving along.

New pipes are on the bike and mounted solid. Cut the old sissy bar off, and started gathering parts for the new one. Picked up a new car (new to us) for the wife today too.

I'm fairly impressed with it. It's an '08 with 56k on the clock. Got the 3800 under the hood. Gas mileage is twice as good as the Durango. The dealer made me a helluva deal, and gave me a 3 year/ 36k mile bumper to bumper warranty, good nationwide, on top of it.

GM made a mistake dropping the 3800. Reliable good gas mileage.
