I have a completly stock 02 t/a and i ran an 03 cobra at a 1/4 mile track he got me by a nose but just a nose.

If both cars are bone stock the 03/04 cobra wins hands down. The mach 1 is as quick as an o1/o2 ls1 f body and its not supercharged. Too bad Ford had to put a supercharger on the engine to make it faster back then, Now 10 years later they got the new 5.0. Which is a great engine. Its about time.

What about a 2010 - 2012 Mustang GT -vs- 4th Gen LS-1 ?..I know its hard to say without knowing all the mods but lets say both have moderate mods ie: Lt`s-cai -catback?......

I had the privilege of having the keys to a new 5.0 thrown to me at the track. The car had drag radials, exhaust and some other mods. It was fast!

Cobra doesn't have 3.42 gears. Try 3.55s cobras are an independent rear car. So they launch lower to avoid blowing a rear end. They can easily swap to solid rear and drag radials and shave some time off

Yeah ok it was fast?.....But can an fbody of comparable mods take one? I mean i know the GT has what...400+ HP but do you think that HP always wins the race? what about gearing and torque?

the 2013 gt500 has more hp than the ZL1 but the ZL1 out performed the gt500 in every category,Motor Trend said the gt500 was quicker in a straight line,but after that the poor ugly gt500 had no more fight left in it,while the ZL1 still had plenty of fight left in it to box a couple more rounds,the gt500 is just like any other ford GARBAGE and aint built to last or for the long haul,ford SUCKS like always

Yeah i saw the YOUTUBE shoot out between the two..The pro-driver guy liked the ZL-1 better...but my question was for more of a street driven lightly modded LS-1 against a 2008-2010..(i dont know what year the jerk has!)..

He was running a full half second faster than our car which has complete exhaust, a tune, gears, stall, Hoosier QTP's and much more.
