You will get what someone is willing to pay for it. Since yours only has 49k miles on it that is relatively low. 2000 is def on the high side and the only reason you might be able to get something close to that is because of the low miles. You would most likely get closer to 1500 i would think.

Another question I need t ask is will my stock clutch live behind this motor or will/should it be upgraded?

I personally would upgrade it It will probably hold for awhile though since your car has relatively low miles. I'd look at the LS7 set-up.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Ya the ls7 would be a great clutch for just a bolt on ls3 setup after that I'd start for looking something better. Also just as a side note. I saw earlier you were talking about swapping oil pumps. You dont need to do this the ls3 ppump works just fine you just need the pickup tube and oil pan from your ls1. These links show an ls3 swap into an fbody

Thats what I figured on, actually was planning on going to the ls7 clutch eventually anyway.
Going to talk to the guy about maybe trading my stock engine plus cash for the l92, his son (my roomate) said he might be open to it so we'll see what happens. but until then I'm planning on starting to order other parts that I'm planning using for either direction I go like a cat back and sfc's

Never saw a problem with the high volume Mellings with stock pans. Its a part I'd go with a new pump as a piece of mind thing. Do the drill mod on your like or go with the tick m/c as I've learne from 35th

I run a Lingenfelter Twin Turbo Oil pump and love it (Obviously the pump isn't turbo'ed, they just use it on their TT Vettes) not sure if it will work but its a relatively cheap pump and at idle I'm looking a 80 psi and under full throttle.....who knows, our gauges only go to 80

Just realized I never updated what happened to this deal, well here it is. It's a little bittersweet, my buddy's dad decided he missed his drag car so he went and got a roller car to drop the l92 in. It's a '98 z28 that was in the process of being turned into a outlaw 10.5 car, he is planning on making it a street/strip car. It has a full cage, tube front end, built 9 inch rear etc. He wants to bracket race it for now but has already talked about building up another motor to try to go 9's with so maybe I'll get another shoot at the l92 when he does. That is if he doesn't make too many passes at the strip on it.
I'll try to get some pics of the car next time I'm out to his shop.

I'd forget about that motor. I didnt read the whole thread so not sure if you mentioned it, but that has already had piston and head damage from some incident. Screw that thing. Go find one that is unmolested and then put whatever cam you want in it.
