anyone ever race a eclipes gts turbo ??????

ok so this guy was talking trash about how fast his eclipes is saying he would smoke any ws6 i found him on the street one day and i smoked him but he was saying his turbo messed up :lol:so i told him to meet me at drag strip but its been rained out fo the last 3 weeks i was wounding if anyone knows how bad i should beat him in a 1/4 mile my car has nittos and a slp loudmouth his has a air intake and its fwd any guesses

Did some research, Gts was made 2003-2005. Had a 210 hp motor. No listing for a turbo. If he has one, it is aftermarket. And, he has to deal with the Mitsubishi Variable Induction Management. Not surprised you smoked him, and will continue to do so. Be careful racing someone like that, he's liable to hurt somebody, and drag you into it.

the gst's arent bad but nothing super. stock 1/4 mi he will be lucky to hit 14s depending on his driving ability. most likely its his first "sports" car. its a 4g63 with a 16g turbo its a baby snail... you can feel the boost but nothing incredible

with a good pass on your part you should be able to get a 13.6-14.0 thats someone with no seat time...he will probably be around 15.3-up lol

i know i can cut a good light i raced junior drags and my dads lt1 vette for almost 12 years when i bought the guy said it ran a 13.20 with nittos slp loudmouth 2 and a kn drop in filter so maybe i can smoke this punk even more does this seem like a likly time?????

I remember racing an older Eclipse (or Talon) back in the day when I had my first Camaro, a '94 3.4L V6 A4. I won by a couple of car lengths, only to have the girl tell me she had the turbo off (she didn't know the button by the shifter was for the transmission mode, not the turbo). I don't even remember if it was a turbo or n/a car. It was fun-and funny-either way.
