From the beginning, Nolan has stated he's only interested in doing a trilogy with his version of the Dark Knight saga. Nolan has turned out to be one of my favorite directors. He knows film making and knows when to stop while you're on top. I believe one of his next projects in the works is a reboot of Superman.

At lease they didn't let M. Bay kill the series from his directing.
I like how this series went. Dark, edgy.....nothing like the previous versions.

Nolan is stopping, in theory. I haven't heard about Bale refusing future sequels. Anything with this much money involved will get optioned. Maybe with a new director, but maybe Bale and the other regulars would be willing to do more, that would hopefully still be good...

I think Burton did a great job with his Nicholson/Keaton version of Batman. His second was okay, but I've tried to forget the Schumacher versions. Those two (especially Batman & Robin) were a travesty.

Anyone hear if Bale is going to do another Terminator?

Soooooooo excited
Man of Steel but it doesn't' come out until summer 2013. I'm so stoked about Nolan's take on superman I can't even talk about it...it's long over due. Hopefully it's also a trilogy.

I'm just glad they're trying a new Superman after the crapfest that was Superman Returns.
When the best scene in the whole movie happens 30 minutes in, it's all downhill for the next 2 hours.
Bryan Singer really blew it.
If only they'd do a Superman vs Doomsday movie, and do it right.

Yeah they need to figure out Superman like they did Batman... The first mistake is going to the old Lex Luthor as the villain. Didn't anyone learn anything from the glory that is Superman II? People want physical slugfests, and kneel before Zod!, not brains vs brawn = yawn...
Agreed, Doomsday is the perfect story. Superman can die then come back and kick his ass, ala Rocky III...

Oh yeah I've seen that one before, it's sweet. It's just that Luthor was a focus in 3 out of 4 Christopher Lee movies, the story had been done and done again... They should've tried something else already. Superman I = Lex Luthor plotting a massive upheaval that will change the world landscape, kill millions, and give him lots of new beachfront property. Superman Returns = Lex Luthor plotting a massive upheaval that will change the world landscape, kill billions, and give him lots of new beachfront property... The only difference was he was willing to kill billions instead of millions this time...

sooooo...excited for the conclusion of the nolan trilogy. with any luck there will be something at the end for a new director to pick up where nolan left off and continue this line. or maybe not. maybe we could go with a "batman beyond" storyline in the same universe as the nolan trilogy.
