Didn't run thru all the threads so if I'm echoing, I apologize. The problem I have with royal purp is 1, the cost and 2, like a lot of them out there, it is not a true full syn oil. Some court case made it OK for oil companies to say they sell full syn, when they don't. I'll see if I can find out where I saw that.. If anyone interested in the info, drop me a line. Used RP before but I think I'll go with Mobil 1. GM puts it in the Corvette, so who am I to argue.

I only run Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil. It is worth the extra money.

Amsoil 0-30 in my 35th LE
Amsoil 15-40 in my 2012 Freightliner tool truck, 2 Kubota tractors, 3 additional pieces of farm equiptment and ford power stroke
Amsoil 0-40 in my 2010 Jetta TDI
Now for 30 years!

question, and sorry if its been asked, but is Mobil 1 non-syntheic oil good?

my oil change light came on this morning, and its been about a year since my last oil change, but only about 2500 miles.

plus it was about a quart low this morning too.

sounds like my line up with the oil in my duramax trans am and wifes jeep its good stuff and im on my 3rd year with it

if its the only thing you can get sure. i dont care for dyno oil or mobil 1 any more they are not bad just cost to much for what you get. but if you only put that kind of miles on your car each year you should be good with almost any oil

this is one of the threads that no one will post in for a few months and then it gets 30 post in a week kind of thing so i dont think it will ever die. and sarge has bin gone for some time he was planing on getting in to local gov and what not so who knows

Like youve read on this thread already,Many choices lots of opinions i dont see anything wrong with what your planning on using The point is your taking care of your baby by changing the oil&filter ...keeping up with the maintanence is important ! Nice ride by the way...Is that SOM color?

Based on oil analysis here, Bob the Oil guy and recommendations by Sarge. I have also been using Pennzoil Platinum Plus and sometimes Ultra for a couple of years. Oil technology changes, so I was wondering if anyone has any new information.
