2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
Pandora, you can create stations based on an artist, song or genre and it will randomly play songs that fit in similar categories. If you have more than one station you can shuffle them too. And you can thumbs down songs you don't like and it will never play them again.

I heart radio is another radio station ap.
Slacker is like pandora, with more fine tuning for variety.

background data is used for things like the android market and other applications...i turn it off until im ready to use those apps. go to settings, then accounts and sync, then turn off background data....saves battery a great amount.

i love the app called "shazam" you use it when a song comes across the radio, or anywhere youre at for that matter, and it tells you what the name and artist is of that song

Jeff thanks for talking about Google Sky app. I down loaded it and have been out the last week showing my kids the constellations and planets that we can see.

OK Smart Phone Guru's.
On the DROID Bionic, and probably every DROID phone for that matter, there is a 1,000 text limit set as a maximum. After 1,000 text messages any incoming texts deletes existing texts.
How do you get unlimited? Is there an APP you can download and use?
Enlighten me.

Yeah there's a limit on my Sony Ericsson also. May be an Android thing and not just a Droid thing. The only thing I know of is to backup the messages or extract them from the phone. Dunno if you can increase that limit on the phone...
--
Got me curious now, doing some quick searching. Most of the threads I see say that you can't increase that limit. Here is a quote about an app I saw, perhaps you will like it...
You could try SMS backup+ in the market. it backs up you sms mms threads to your gmail account so you can keep all your messages and even restore then to a new phone if you change
--
Ok found a thread on a Droid forum, these guys talk about there being a limit per sender, and that it is adjustable. One guy said he had it set to 2,000 per sender. I don't see anything like that on my phone, maybe that's a Droid thing. If you haven't already gone through all your settings, you might want to check and see if you have anything like that...Last edited by Schmalgar; 03-27-2012 at 12:47 PM.

I saw that also. There used to be a feature to de-select the delete text option so it would not force the texts to delete old ones. That is now gone on this new OS upgrade.

isnt there a way to save them to the sim or micro sd instead of the phone memory?

Yes. I don't know if that corrects the limit or not though. Not sure how to do it either
