If I read the book and watch the movie and ONE SINGLE THING is missing how about you make a payment on my Corvette.....deal?

You are 100% correct on the teens...hence why I related it to Twilight (I said it in 3 posts now). Twilight is aimed at the same folks as this one. If not this movie would be an R rating but alas....they wouldnt be able to see it. Now would they? People (not you) need to look beyond their blinders and see why shit is the way it is. They would lose a lot of revenue if they made this an R movie so thus....younger people is their target group.

I dont love or hate Twilight....I just associate it with kids.

The outfits look a lot like those found in Alice & Wonderland.

Oh I have no doubt the movie is a little different than the books...they always are. Especially since I read all the twilight books I should know j/k .......seriously I haven't But with the author helping out i'm sure it's as close as it can get. If I could afford the payment on a vette i'd be making sweet love to it as we speak.

I have to admit I was a little disappointed in the fact that the movie wasn't what I thought it was going to be. The plot and acting are really good but I was hoping for a darker tone at least along the lines of LOTR.

LOL What you said is almost word for word of my buddy Eric!

He also mentioned how the main dude in the movie always has perfect hair no matter what is happening to him. lol

    FYI:

    From:
'Hunger Games' battles to $155M opening weekend - Boston.com
    ...
Women and girls have made up as much as 80 percent of the audience for the "Twilight" flicks.
Though it features a female lead, "The Hunger Games" drew more balanced crowds, with girls and women accounting for 61 percent of audiences, according to distributor Lionsgate.

Despite its teen fan base, "The Hunger Games" also did well among older moviegoers. Fans 25 and older made up 56 percent of the crowds.
    ...

IMHO, from a story basis, "The Hunger Games" has nothing in common with the pure BS fantasy Twilight or Harry Potter stories.

FWIW: The "The Hunger Games" is based strongly on reality. Again, the video I posted mentioned why. Also, surprise, the Earth will not last forever! In fact, no one (that has any clue about science) denies that the Earth will no longer exist in the future! Therefore, it's a matter of time before our species becomes extinct, or moves to another planet (very unlikely for many reasons). So, when will "apocalypse" happen? What will it be like? Who knows?

"The Hunger Games" is based on one person's idea of what a "post-apocalypse" society may look like. It's based heavily on the technology possible today, likely tomorrow, and the history of a number of past societies (like the Romans, Mayans, etc).

Will any humans even be alive after an "apocalypse-level" event? Who knows. But, there will be an "apocalypse-level" event!

BTW, don't go freaking out, the Earth and our Sun (star) have ~~5 Billion years before our Sun will go BOOOOOOM!!!!!!!

when will our sun go nova - Google Search

Note: 5 Billion is not "infinity". In fact, it just so happens that the latest CPU made by Intel (Xeon - sandybridge) has ~5 Billion transistors. :-O
