No longer an f-body owner...
Well its true, by tommorow of 5:30 pm my Firebird will be leaving. She has put me through A TON of trouble and it is time for a break up.. She will be missed, even though she was a v6 3.8; she knew how to get up and go! Sold her to a new family for $4500.. Long live BB.."Blue Bitch"
I'll be looking for 99-04 Mustang GT's; maybe once im outta highschool and college i will go back to f-bodys and get the ls1.

^^ woah man take a chill. I just wanted to get rid of my v6 powered firebird. There was always something wrong with it.
Ive been an fbody owner for 2 years, Im wanting to move on. I love firebirds, there gorgouse, just not ment to be my daily driver.
Mustangs are great too. I want a v8 powered but ls1's have exceeded their value.

I agree, that was uncalled for.
Sorry to hear about your decision to sell. I understand you have had some troubles with her recently and that can happen with any car -- F-body or otherwise. Let us know what you end up with.

2016 Camaro SS - Summit- 2001 Trans Am WS6 - NBM
It is hard to find an LS powered car for anywhere near loan value these days. At least the decent ones. Good luck with your future vehicle, take your time shopping to ensure you don't end up working on this one just as much. Believe me I've been there lol

Smart move. Shop around and take your time. When the right car comes along, you'll know it.

Yup! Got tired of being nickle and dimed to death myself..
All I did from the time the warranty ran out was throw money @ the thing just to keep it running STOCK!
Not to mention all the warranty work it needed..
It got to a point where I was just plain sick of it..
Took meticulas care of it, babied it, serviced it, replaced anything that broke with new parts, after 6 years that list had become substantial.
It had constant nose to tail electrical problems from 26,000 miles on..
This was all while just trying to make the 120k mark on the clock.
Almost 1 year after getting rid of it and the purchase of my H3,, I can tell you for us the only thing we missed was the T-tops.
I also had a 95, you would have thought in the 6 YEARS between my 95 and my 01 there would have been stubstantial inprovements made..
NOPE! SAME shit different toilet...........Last edited by Smittro; 03-19-2012 at 06:05 AM.

Nothing wrong with your choice of vehicles, at least Ford is building stuff without our tax dollars or the government telling them how to do it
Some of us drive a ford too and park them right along side our GM stuff,,,,just sayin'

My V6 3.8L Camaro had 209,XXX miles on it when I sold it 2 summers ago and the only thing I ever replaced was the oil, oil filter, trans fluid, coolant, water pump and a fuel pump. I drove the piss out of that car every time I got in it for the first 5 years I owned it. I guess I got lucky I bought it with 20,000 miles on it too. Had that car for 11 years.
Good luck OP in your new vehicle search!

Though it sounds like it I did'nt hate the car. Just time to move on.
It was what it was...
My next one will be a third gen to make better and restore.

I had an 89 v6, and a 92 25th anni 350 auto.. Best f-bodies I ever owned.
The 89 had mildly leaky T's in real heavy rain, but the 92 T's never leaked, even after a top I forgot to lock down blew out and was replaced. No leaks!.
LOVED working on them! NEVER had the trouble with both cars combined as I had with both 4th gens I had.
I think I shot myself in the leg with the last one or something..
Beutiful car! Even though under all that shine was 30-35% replacedment parts..

The new 5.0's are pretty cool. The owner of our local track made me drive one last year and I was very impressed.
