I haven't locked in a final price yet - just have an "approx" price range ironed out with the dealership. He needed to give me a comittment on a price range I was happy with or I told him wouldn't spend the time and money to go see the car. High point of the price range DOES NOT start with a "2". I am going to see it on the 21st and will lock in a final price/offer after I have had a chance to drive it and give it the once over. I printed a check list from the site here as to what to look for when buying one of these cars. Very helpful. Sales guy tells me it is show room new except for a crack on the drivers side door panel. Go figure!!! Even on a car with that low mileage. Sucks. Anyway, if I do buy it I'll need to do the repair I saw on the site here or get a new door panel.
Had the VIN run by a guy on another site. Car is an August 2000 build date. No warranty work ever. One owner car. Totally unmolested. Car has both key fobs, owners manual, t top shades and original window sticker.Last edited by dschribs; 03-08-2012 at 04:46 PM.

Reminds me of when I bought mine last year...not quite as low of miles(mine had 40K,) but was an '01, had everything that the car came with, and is in excellent shape. I will tell you that I paid $14K for mine, but also had a $2500 trade in, so $11500. Good luck!

Good luck Dan. Hope it looks as clean in person as in the pictures. Appears to be almost completely stock, if not completely stock.
Looks like a good find. Hopefully you'll be able to get it for the price you want.

He's looking at $18K and change I bet! Except for the non factory battery it's stunning for a 10yr old bird.

I paid $20,000 for mine with 8,000 miles back in August, 2011. For sure I overpaid, but it was, and is, right out of the wrapper new. It was exactly what I had been looking for, so I bit the bullet and bought it. I kind of rationalized the price by hitting a home run on my 2009 Harley Road Glide. It also was just what the buyer was looking for. I don't have any plans to sell it so the depreciation won't matter much to me. I've already killed the value with a total replacing and beefing up of the suspension. Again, that's what I wanted to do and will use and enjoy it. It won't make for a hill of beans when I'm pushing up daisies anyway.

Bought the car on Wednesday.
$18,500. After shopping on line for about 8 months or so and looking at what these cars are going for (with low miles), I'm very happy with the price.
It's being picked up today at the dealership to be delivered to me in CT. Can't wait!
The car is absolutely immaculate. Perfect. There is a one inch crack in the drivers side door panel (imagine that) but other than that the car is flawless.
Took it out for a nice long test drive on Wed. It was 85 and sunny in Illinois. What a fun car. TONS of power, a great ride and the T Tops are awesome. Coming from owning a convertible - it's a nice middle ground between a rag top and a coupe.
I'll be sure to post some pics when I get it home.
Now to start reading up on how to do the door panel repairs....
