rust- 65 Impala SS Convertible
speedometer, voltmeter, temperature gauges
Hello,
What are people using for speedometers for ls swaps?
I have a 65 Impala and spending $1k for one of those custom dashes does not make financial sense.
Anyone get a gauge from a newer car and make it fit in your dash? If so, what car did you get it from?
I have the vacum gauge hooked up. works great. I am guessing the voltmeter will be just hooking a positive when key on and a constant negative will do it.
As for the original temp gauge, I need to figure out if it is electrically compatible with an add on sensor.
Thanks for any guidance.

I use the original gauges in the vehicle.
There are aftermarket tail housings to swap onto any electronic transmission to work your analog speedo just as it was designed.
I drill and tap the engine for the sending units needed for the original oil and temp gauges.

Possibly, but can't say for sure, I'm not familiar with a 2006 crossfire.....name sounds familiar.
