Headers for the LS1 come with a collector.
Should be enough to prevent air from making it to the heads.

Longtube headers should be more than long enough to prevent that from happening.

I do agree though. I didn't drive mine long open headers and wouldn't do it again.

    HEHE...

Had to cut my duals off right before the axle. Nothing but pipe and an X. Needed to get my tank down.

Love the way that sounds. How does the much longer exh. duration vs. int. duration on that cam effect your setup?

I get pretty bad surge down low. Well...not terrible I guess. Probably just needs some more work on the tune.
Not a huge torque cam, but it does okay.
In order to run a cam like this, you need to give it air. I think I peaked running the heads I am running at 530 RWHP at 6600 RPM.

What do you think that your next move will be reguarding cylinder heads? Also, I am thinking of going with QTP long tubes with the high velocity collectors, what do you think of these?

We are thinking two different things.

Cylinder head wise...I will probably go with something that dumps my compression because I will be boosting the car.

My longtube headers won't be getting changed anytime soon. Kooks 1 7/8" longtubes.

I'm not trying to sell you QTPs or anything. Just asking for opinions of them. They look like they would produce awsome scavenging well into the secondary piping.
