if fear factor would stick to doing legitimate stunts based on physical ability it wouldn't be such a disgrace... unfortunately it became a show about how low some people will go into the abyss of disgusting to earn a buck... pretty much like most of the trash on network tv..

my guess would be a combination of a) the "entertainment industry", and b) people w/ low threshold for sleeze, sensationalism, greed, etc...

Yes, you're right but the entertainment industry wouldn't create shows like this if people didn't watch them. Our society (in general) is rotten and has zero morals. Just read again what the twins said. They're pissed off because they wanted their family/friends to see them drink donkey spunk. These shitty reality shows are only on because the demand for them is high.

It's cheap trash TV. I used to like watching Fear Factor back when it was originally on, but it seems this reinvented version has gone the way of today's typical reality TV trash.

It's true. Way back then reality TV shows weren't a dime a dozen either. I'm guilty of watching a few I'll admit. I used to watch the old Fear Factor and still watch Survivor and the Amazing Race. But, there are so many bullshit reality shows these days on all networks, and has pretty much taking over the airwaves and contributing to the dumbing down of society.

the shows that bother me the most right now are the hillbilly shows. Cajun Pawnstars, any show with alligators, any show with a tow truck, snake man, turtle man, the bug guy. The only thing those shows accomplish is to fortify the nations belief that nothing but dumb ass hillbilly's live in the south.

It's not like NBC has a high standard to live up to or anything.

Remember this is the same network that put model rocket engines in GM pickups so they would explode for the cameras on their "news" expose on unsafe gas tanks.

More than likely, NBC decided they could get more mileage by generating controversy over the chicks guzzling donkey skeet than by actually airing the episode.

And the girls probably already have several job offers in the adult movie industry.

Who'da thunk donkey skeet could be a resume' enhancement?
