thats funny, my buddy traded his G8 GT for a tdi jetta last year and I gave him all kinds of shit for it. He's since redeemed himself and got a '10 SS a few weeks ago.

Jetta are chick cars no doubt but I really want my girl to get a TDI so I can use and get 55mpg freeway and still have my vette and truck when my man card is called into question lol.

Yea the mileage is pretty kick ass, we had one 220lbs, two 250 lbs, and one 300+ lbs guy in it on a trip to nashville and averaged 45mpg down and back. Ride sucked bad though, its the "TDI cup" edition so it has stiff suspension already, then with our fat asses and luggage in it we were riding the bump stops most of the way down there

Had done mods to my dads 07.5 (emissions) 6.7L cummins and boosted the fuel mileage from an average of 12, to an average of 15mpg PLUS the benefits of the added power.

I am very familiar with the MPG diesels can achieve. My point was if you are going to floor it from stop light to stop light(which apparently is the sterotype of diesel owners) you will get 8mpg
