New girl from Ohio!
My name is Amy, and I joined this club because I just bought my first ls1 engine. My project vehicle is a 2004 Colorado ext cab 2wd, lifted 5" on 33" tires. The inline 5 is not liking the bigger tires and added weight, so I had to get a v8 for it. It's actually my boyfriends truck, but we are a team as he does all the mechanical and I do all the troubleshooting and wiring stuff. I had originally bought him an lt1 to put in the truck, as we are familiar with that motor but he kept looking for an ls1. We finally found one yesterday for a great price, so I bought it for him for his birthday. Looking forward to learning more about this motor, btw it came out of a 2000 Camaro t56 car. We are going to add the 4l60e to it though...

G'day and welcome. Sounds like a good project.
And I'm east of Cleveland myself. It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

Thanks for the welcome guys!
I am getting a new digital camera thursday, so I will finally be able to download some pictures and videos of the truck.
35th-ANV-SS- I am unfortunately an only child, once my parents saw how messed up I was they didn't want another one lol!
I will make a build thread under the lsx section, I love putting pics in my threads as well. Some stuff you just can't describe without pictures, now It's time to go see how much I don't know about ls motors......

It has a 4l60e right now, BUT we are having issues figuring out what setup we are going to need. I had thought about buying an ls1 4l60e bellhousing, and swapping it onto the colorado transmission and hoping that would work. The tail shaft will be fine, because I am having a custom 1 piece drive shaft made for it. I also have to research about the torque convertor as well.
