ahh i love third gens and am probably only 1 in a million hahaha
as a proud owner of a 1987 Pontiac Firebird 305 Carburated backed by a 5 speed, i am always thinking of my plans for it.
id keep it pretty simple and not really over do it.
-ls6 with a Precision Race Components Stage 3 ls6 heads and ms4 or texas giant cam package.
-Tick stage 2 T56
-Moser 9" with 4.11s
-Lowered bout 2" all the way around
-cowl hood
and all other suspension mods with the rest

I would get an early one, say 82-84. Keep the exterior stock with a single exhaust. Drop a big block with a 6spd and 12 bolt.Keep the sleeper look and beat on some cars.
