Looking at Cam swap
I'm looking at all the posts on here but I can't seem to find what retainers work the best.
On comps website they have steel retainers for almost 200 dollars cheaper than the titanium ones.
Are they really worth that much more or is it just a frame of mind type of thing?

what kind of springs are you planning on using. If your just using a beehive spring and not a dual then the stock retainers are usually fine

Titanium retainers lighten the valvetrain a little bit, which is theoretically always a good thing to do to add precision to the valve movements. IMO it is only worth the considerable extra $$$ if you are running a very high lift cam at high RPM, with milled heads and/or very tight PTV clearance. For a more moderate build it may just be overkill.
