99 Z28 vrs "the bumblebee"

so it was monday night, around 10 pm and me and my friend Justin were in my 1999 Z28 headed over to some friends house. We were crusin down this 6 lane road (3 lanes in each direction) on a pretty busy street, when I look up in my rear view mirror and there are headlights comin at me fast. I knew I was going ten over, but damn, this cop must be pissed. I keep looking and think wait a second, a cop doesn't have bright blue headlights....with four sets of fog lights.....all the sudden, I flinch as an ear peircing "BURRRRRRRRRR" screams by my car doing about 80. Justin was like WTF was that.

I was like I duno, so I got on it, and did some bobbing and weeving through traffic. About a mile down the road the light turns red and I see the "Thing" sitting there still "BuuuRRRRRRRRR, BURRRRRRing!!" IT was a Civic Hatchback, bright yellow with black racing strips, 20 inch rims, too many stickers to list, and an exhaust pipe about the size of an overgrown watermelon that scraped the ground. oh and when he saw my car that got him even more riled up. "burrr... BURRRR....BURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!" me and justin just looked at him and shook our heads. The kid had his windows down and just started at me. HE glared back. The 10 different subs booming and ratleing in the car almost drowned out the constant "Burrrrring" coming from his back end.

THen the light turned green, and the civic was off "Screech, BURRRRRR!!!". After my tires decided they had spun enough, it was off to the races. I feathered the throttle and kicked it back into second. I had caughten back up to him and we were neck and neck. I noticed a slight bit of worry in his face when he glanced at me. All the nos in the world couldn't save the young kids dream of beating the "black ls1". My petal was to the floor giving him a full dose of sense. I pulled hard on his car all through second and by the time I threw it into third the civic was two full carlength behind me. I finally let off and I stopped at the next light hoping to talk to him but he quickly turned off into a nearby gas station and flipped me off. it seemed about right.

Don't you just hate inports that think they have a chance at a ls1. Civics were made to save gas and go to the grocery store, not for racing. Dispite popular beleif.

I don't even know that kid but I already hate him.
