Stock Exhaust size
What size pipe is in the factory catback?
Specifically the size where the y-pipe connects to the catback.
Planning a cutout.

I never measured it... would guess it is at least 3".

I have my stock catback in my basement so I took a measurement of the OD. It measured 2-3/4". Same with the tips. It seems odd, but maybe this is what 3" is supposed to measure.

Thanks 35th-ANV-SS. I thought it was 2.75. I have another car setting on my ramps and stands right now, but the band clamp failed between the y-pipe and catback. Since I have to order parts, I figured why not a cutout.
Any recommendations on brand?

Stock is definitly not 3"...2 3/4" sounds about right.

I think its 2 3/4. When I put my 3" catback on a while ago I remember it was a bit bigger

Like I mentioned, I actually measured it
DMH or QTP I've heard good things about. I personally don't have one as my set-up is already ridiculously loud.
