My old man worked as a mechanic @ a textile factory. He started there when they still used singer sewing machines which a few made their way home.
Dad was a biker so leather was for everything lol.. He and I both dabbled in leather working, and vinyl and so forth.
Also having the benefit of grandparents, and great grandparents.. All my grandfolk come from a time when you made a lot of your own clothing.
Guess it's kinda in my German blood..lol Not a pro by any stretch but I can run a stitch or two..

Ok guys I received the boots. I'm kinda of mad because I order the wrong color. I guess i need charcoal. Anyway I decided to kinda slide the shifter boot in to check how it would look or fit. I looks like it can work but is kinda of a tight fit. The E brake boot will be fine but im not liking the color at all.
What are your opinions? I can return them but there is a chance they will charge 25%.

Considering the console, bezels, etc... are painted silver, I don't think it looks too bad. But, a shot of the whole cabin might give a better idea.

I like! Prolly have to figure something out with the brake boot. But not bad @ all.
New leather takes a bit to break in and become soft.
Kinda like a ball glove takes a little time before it's broke in, and becomes more plyable(sp) over time.
You can speed up the process by rolling them up and bending and twisting it also.
Just keep an eye on the stitches if you do. Making a lasting stitch in leather is an art form.
So sometimes it's hit or miss depending on the manufacturer..
I am confident this will solve the "goo" issue though and you can always re-tan it with products from professional leather or upolstery shops.

I will take a pic of the whole cabin and post later. Thanks. I feel I can live with the shifter color. is the brake boot that kinda throws it off...
I was reading their return policy and it looks that i cant return it unless is black color + they will charge 25%.
These are from Poland and are hand make to custom. I didn't knew they were coming from Europe... I hope they can work something out with me.Last edited by JayTA98; 07-18-2011 at 07:30 AM.

They email me back that they have charcoal which is a better match. this is going to cost me. $20 for restocking fee + $10 to ship to them and $9 for shipping it back to me. This has been a learning experience for me.
i guess nobody likes the color since i havent heard anything lol.

I think I would go with the Charcoal. IMHO it seems off with them matching the color of the consul. I think the charcoal would help them stand out better.
My wife says that it looks like they are lost in the back ground of the consul.

yeah I think i will just go ahead and spend the extra money and get the color right. It's not like i can return them and get my money back, im stuck with these. Might as well enjoy the right color. Thanks.

Ok they are on the way to Poland. What to have these shipped. I don't wanted them to go thru costums because it will cost more and it ill cause delay. i had to switch packages because it was too thick. finally one of post office people understood my situation and allowed me to send it without customs form.
