I'm guessing the site may be down for some time while the transfer takes place. Ed, is the data stored locally or elsewhere?

Its stored locally at the ISP. I am guess it will take hours to backup and restore to the new ISP.

Might be a delay. Can't find a good ISP that can handle our large DB.
The one I chose, even though they say unlimited. Won't let us create a DB larger than 300 megs.

if you are limited by DB maybe you can make a huge clean up of old or unecessary stuff. Does the amount of threads affect the DB? I will think so but not a ISP person.

There may be a delay on the move. I tested a copy of the DB on the new server and its slow!
Might have to find another host.

Because the current server is on a older version of MySql and PHP and won't upgrade.
