228r cam?
never done any sorts of cam work but ive done some research and wanted to see what you guys thought of this set up
02 z m6
228/228 .588, 112 lsa, tungsten pushrods, .600 lift valve springs, ported ls6 oil pump, ls2 timing chain, headers and a tune?
was also wondering if the timing chain upgrade is needed? and or if you have any suggestions thanks!

i would go .650" lift (dual) valve springs...IE: Patriot Dual Gold Valve Springs .650" lift.
you should be fine at the stock pushrod length of 7.4", but double check. im running a 224 single pattern cam, same lift (.588), same LSA (112) and im running Comp Poly 7.4" PRs.
the 228 is a proven under the curve cam, with good tuning and street manners. you will be pleased

definitely get .650 springs. I run this cam with 243 heads with a 7.4 pushrod.

I put down 418 with patriot 243's and a fast 102. I need a bigger cam for my set up (which I am looking into) but I think your gonna be in the 380 area with out heads.
