5.0 fox vs me 99 z28
okay guys want your opinions on a race im gonna have .its a 92 gt 5.0 ,headers,intake,cobra intake mani.cluch and a cam..vs my 99 z28 hooker lt headers ,cutout exhaust ,and a comp cam 232 232 581 lift ,with a 2800 stall UNTUNED..im sure i can take it.but want ur alls opinions thanks guys

idk iv see those little guys get pretty quick N/A, but I'm sure the Camaro will take the win hands down... 1/4 may be close... rolling start Camaro will dominate!

You should have no problem, especially with a stalled and cammed car. Not to take anything away from the stick folks, but usually auto's are more consistent.

As long as you get traction you will kill him. Those Fox Bodies seem to hook well with their minimal power. Sometimes they can get the jump on you pretty good.

Is he being honest with you? Not many of the old fox bodies running around that are stock anymore, and probably nearly as many with a stroker motor in them.
90% of them running around where I used to play with them had at least 347's in them, some of them were windsor based 408's. The machine shop I frequented pumped out 3-4 347's a week. With good heads and cam, the right gear and a good driver they were 11 second cars.
I say run em' and find out. But don't be surprised if he's hiding something under there.

Thanks for the good coments.. and for the rest .the reason I made this thread is because I wanted to know if Mabe some one in here have had a race like that.if ur not going to post any thing positive dnt post at all .just plain and simple keep ur negative comments to ur self
