unless their lung is punctured or they were wacked and are in shock...

you can see the line of sight that he/she could have easily been hit by it considering the entry point directs it right to them then shifts over tword the passenger side...

I think he was recording because two slow assholes are tying up two lanes. The Flatbed driving next to the trailer and the trailer not moving over.

as stated in a you tube comment:

it's not this GUY it's this GIRL people..... see the original video (search 2x4 through my windshield) this person stole the video and reposted..... SHE was video taping because the transfer was driving badly, etc and she planned to show the video to the company.... just happened to catch this... quit trying to over analyze the video!!

if i was in that situation, i would have stopped, made sure I was fine, made sure my car was driveable, then catch the ass hat that didnt swerve from hitting the 2x4...
call the cops and report it...

make sure the driver of the trailer, has their insurance cover the damages.

There is no where to swerve.

A vehicle hauling a trailer with a narrow wheel base like that is not going to be able to perform an evasive maneuver such as our cars. If he goes left he will end up in the grass and cut it back hard and hit that truck/trailer. Of if he swerves right he will hit that truck/trailer. At 70ish mph a 2x4 might be hard to see in the road.

I am doubting the vehicle that kicked it up would have to pay for the guys car to be fixed. A car kicks up a stone and I have to pay to have my windshield fixed. They could swerve to miss that too but people dont.

Oh well.

The person was holding the camera though. They would have dropped it if they had been hit by that thing.

The video starts with the impact vehicle driver not following the 2 second rule and pacing a large flat bed @ the same time.

Which is why there was no time to react.. = bad general driving skills..

Also.... for a short time were cruising in the flat beds blind spot. = stupid driver..

Driving in the blind spot of any large cargo vehicle is stupid because they can't see you in thier mirrors.
