Basically everyone who isnt into American muscle cars. Import tuners, ricers, european high end cars owners. I have owned a few imports and been on quite a few forums and everyone who doesnt own american talks shit about live axle. Live axle works great when your on a nice even race track but on road courses and real world roads IRS def has an advantage.

Same here, i think japanese companies now that they have established themselves are getting away from performance cars. The only performance jap car left is the GTR and STI and subaru is more american than most american cars with factorys in the US and cars designed for the US that you cnat get in Japan. Oh and the lexus LFA 500,000 dollar car lol. No more s2k, no more rx7, supra, the evo will not be created anymore after the EVO Xs run out.

Yup, you also had this one that made 507rwhp with bolt-on's, Boss Intake Manifold, Stage 1 heads, Stage 1 cams, all on 93 octane. Which is just crazy for a Mustang, these are LSX type numbers that this car has put down. Sounds super, super sick too.

yeah agreed, these new 5.0s are a defintite threat. now especially when modded. hahahhahahaha i remember when all the tight asses on here were saying that they are stretched to the limit stock and bolts ons and such wont net a whole lotta hp.

I am a fan of the new 5.0.
Still wouldnt pay over 30k for a Mustang, unless its a 60s or early 70s.

it's great that Ford has a new staple motor, a motor worth modifying and getting more aftermarket support than the 4.6 will ever dream of... But, as far as applicability and cost to modify, simple pushrod LS- motors still remain the most universal and cost effective imo..
I think recently they've just fallen out of popularity because a) obviously the competant new Ford alternative and b) of the fat car they dwell in.

I don't know, not sure if they have fallen out of popularity too much just yet. The 5th gens have been selling really well so far.
And honestly, I can agree on the fact that the LSX motors are universal, mostly everyone in the car community knows what they're capable of.
But, as for the cost, I'm not sure, it's about the same as what you would have to pay for the same mods on the comparable LS motor. For example, the GT built by JPC racing in that video, it was like $2400 for the H/C if I remember correctly. Everything else done to the car is about the same price as the LSX. The Boss intake costs just about the same as a FAST 90/90, and the bolt on's are about the same price as well. The only real price difference is the fact that you need 4 cams versus just one in the LSX.

there was a time not too many years ago that even the most diehard Ford guys gave the LS- motors at least a little respect, but now it seems they look upon by them as a modern day 305; old garbage that is entirely incompetant the new 'god' motor, the 5.0. and the lighter and sleeker Mustang it resides in only turns their noses up higher.
The only real price difference is the fact that you need 4 cams versus just one in the LSX.
