Back to gas prices...can't wait til summer when $4/gal roles through and I'm driving through a tank of gas a day on the SS along with a tank a week in the Impala driving to work and around town. Should be about $500/month.
Sweet.

Indeed. I am lucky, my company allows me to work from home some. I usually do 1 or 2 days a week from home, so that saves some gas.
But driving is my number 1 zen activity. Cruising down the road to nowhere in particular melts away the stress of whatever like almost nothing else. I'll bitch about the cost going up, but I can't give it up! I'll just spend less money on my gf to compensate! I'm sure she'll understand...

Yeah but the wonders of world commodities trading means it doesn't really matter where it comes from. I'm pretty sure the price of a barrel is the price of a barrel regardless of origin. The prices are determined by some f-ed up trading system that I only vaguely understand.

Maybe all FBody owners should invade Venezuela....heard on Sirius this morning that gas is .33c there. Outrageous!

Pretty much this. I love driving my SS too much already and now that I'll have a Procharger on there come spring I'm sure I'll be wanting to drive it even more and my foot will be even heavier. Do I give a shit? Not really. I can easily go through a tank of gas in a day if I wanted to in her...and I probably will. $50-$75 for a tank of gas (whatever it ends up being by summer hits) is nothing compared to the smile that I have on my face when I'm showing her off and beating on other cars.

Black- 2001 Camaro ss
..here in Southern Ontario, Canada..we're at close to 5.25 a gallon regular, probably 6.00 for high test..canadian dollar is at par..so we're getting @#%&$*..but what can we do?..talked to a buddy who drag races..he mentioned racing gasoline is close to 100 dollars to fill two 5 gallon cans..I pray that this does not slide us back into a recession..I'll still drive my 01 ss..sparingly I may add..maybe time for a 4 banger for regular transportation..

I'm with ya. I just filled up today, same Maverick station that was $3.59 last week is now $3.69 today.
I only have 2 newer cars, a pair of 4th gen SS's. The rest of my collection consists of 50's-early 70's muscle cars, of which I love to drive on a regular weekly basis. Some of them are lucky to get 10 mpg while others tickle 15 mpg or so. I'm fine with that. I really don't care how much I spend on gas, the cars put a smile on my face. There is no substitute for the fun factor they provide. I'll be damned if I let gas prices dictate what I drive.
It's easy to compensate the prices. All most people have to do is cut out the cheese burgers, cigs and booze. And they will get the added benefit of being healthier as a result

I'm glad every one feels the same way as me, no one else around here, including family and friends, understands.

Exactly! I have a 4 banger, but, every time I walk out to my cars, I just kind of gravitate to the Camaro even if my plan before walking out the door was to take the Probe

I'll make a few cuts elsewhere before I quit driving my Camaro. But, had my Chevelle still been my DD today, at the great 8 mpg it got... I'd have to start selling shit just to be able to keep driving it, and would
