On a side note somehow a buddy talked me into putting 87 octane in for the first time ever, and I'm wondering if that could be why.

Search from page 1 until the end of the thread shown below on this site and you will get many ideas and/or opinions on why the SES light came on.

No SES light, it was a service vehicle light, lower dash rather then upper dash.

We have the book from our 2000 showing this on page 2-91. If you have the book or can borrow one, it shows different reasons.

Excuse me?????? If you don't have anything relative to add, then don't.

Please be more specific, how will the belt tension turn on the Service Vehicle Soon light?

Funny thing is, that reminded me of a squeal that I heard a couple weeks ago, and on my last TA is was the stupid pulley going out. The belts new, so I'm guessing the tensioner's having issues.

Funky vibrations setting off the vehicle body module.

Although normally a large cam is required for that.

I’m on heavy doses of painkillers at the moment…….sometimes I don’t even understand myself. I’ll try to stay in the AAG area where stupidity runs rampant until I’m off of them. Sorry.

Yup! But that still has nothing to do with a BCM code (large cam), unless you have other evidence.
