No, you're not gonna notice anything different at highway speed.
Even at high-highway speed, ...

Sounds more like a suspension issue. Unless you're passing someone at 200 mph...

Probably should check your rear control arms/bushings. Or upgrade them. And do a full check on the rear suspension.

how hard are they to change and where is a good place to get the upgraded ones cheap?

This the set I used. The rear is easy. The front will take a little more time. Just have a propane torch and a can of PB Blast.

Sounds like a panhard bar issue to me. That is also what keeps your car from swaying back and forth. I would check to make sure it didn't come loose. Sometimes the mounting hole becomes oblong, leaving room for the bar to shift back and forth. Check it with the suspension unloaded.

what is that like the rear sway bar?

The panhard is the Z shaped bar that goes from the body to the suspension above the rear axle.

THIS.
No, you have both a rear sway bar and a pan-hard bar. It's a cheap stamped piece of metal that comes down on angle from, I believe, the top passenger side above the rear end to the lower driver side of the rear end.
The sway bar bends around the rear diff, but stays (relatively) the same height across the back side.
Some bushing might be on there way out, if your unsure how to check them, try to find a shop that does free estimates and report back to us.Last edited by KMdef9; 02-21-2011 at 04:29 PM.

Shit pic, but only one I have. Red is the panhard and green is the sway.

Here is another pic that shows it better. It is the straight stamped bar going from one side to the other in the pic.
