So someone has done something different at one time.
Plus, the color of the decals is not correct to the OE Firehawk.
So the people who really know the cars, are simply asking questions.
No one stated, "That's not a real Firehawk!", ...

Why is not on the registered car listing yet?!?

I'm simply confused, not pointing fingers, just looking to clear up some mis-information.
Both doors have "trans am" on them.
Where can i find the info about the correct color of the decals for the OE firehawk??? I'd like to get the correct info. I wouldn't know if it were the wrong color decal or not...don't know where to find that info or if the RPO codes would tell me. I'll take all the help I can get guys...thanks

All of the Arctic White cars had the light-blue text, with the light-green tilde over the i.

    www.firehawk.com
    http://messageboard.firehawk.org/

The reason it gets everyone's attention is:
    1) Because the Firehawk cars did not come with the 'Trans Am' lettering on the doors.
    2) The 'Firehawk' decal colors are incorrect.

Does the VIN on the car, match the VIN on the documents above?
Does the car have the WU6 code on the RPO door tag?
Just curious, not claiming nothing, just trying to help get to the bottom of it.

Have you found replacement fender & door yet?
    Try the F-body salvage yards?
    Hawks Third Gen
    fpartssalvage.com
There are others that cater to the F-body that might also have the parts available.
Maybe you can find them in the same factory white color & not have to paint them.

One more thing, ..., Look real close at the area where the door trim molding has come off.
Does it look like there is an 'edge' where the clearcoat/color may stop around the area where the molding was?
If so, that's a tell-tale sign that the door was painted again since the factory OEM job.
From the looks of the photo, ..., it was either very dirty along there, or there is an edge from a repaint.

Yes the VIN does match all the documents I have for the car. The RPO code of WU6 is on the RPO door tag. I found a site that gave me a list of all the rpo codes and i check it with what's on my door and it's good. I am going to let the repair shop worry about fixing the damage to the fender and door. I did a little searching to find info on what color decals are supposed to be on the white hawk but coudn't find anything. I also looked for stickers and didn't find much...
I do appreciate the knoweldge of the correct color for the firehawk decal and that the "trans am" emblem should NOT be on the door.
Aagain, thanks for the help--i will check out the website you gave me.

Okay, so back on track, you know it really was born a Firehawk, no argument there.

Send me a PM if you want to know where to buy some new correct decals.
You won't find them for sale anywhere except the reproductions on Ebay.
Usually they are simply making decals to make a little money & don't even know what the Firehawk means.
But the person I know that does make them is a Firehawk owner & can use the same or better material, & is a very experienced vinyl person.

If I were you, I'd have your repair person remove the 'Trans Am' from the doors & get back to the original Firehawk layout.
Some other Firehawk owners can help you with the appropriate dimensional location of the decals if you simply ask for the measurements.

What'd ya think about the area under the side molding?
Does it look like the door was repainted?

Are the original SLP decals on the both door jambs?!?

I've had 2 close calls now with deer in my own subdivision! My neighborhood is surrounded by wooded area so early in the morning and late at night they like to cross from the wooded side up a trail, through the backyards and over to the other side of the neighborhood where the other woods are. There is a creek over there. 3 ran right in front of me one night. Scared the living piss out of me! Good luck OP.

Will send PM shortly. I didn't have a chance to take a second look at the area your talking about to make a judgement if it was repainted...took the car to get the estimates first thing this morning. I'll take a look on the other door just to see. I do have the slp options sticker on the passenger door...i'll see if i have a pic to post.
