Pure Pain
I have been shot/stabbed/torn every ligament and tendon in both knees.....broke multiple bones....cut off fingers....but far and away the most painful thing I have ever done is fractured my ribs. Son of a bitch. Worse thing is your fucked up for like two months.
What is the most painful injury you ever experienced?

Infected root canal wasn't much fun for me. Other than that, I haven't had too much trauma. Broken elbow, torn AC joint, torn rotator cuff and the normal stitches is about all I've experienced. Something about that infected root canal was awful tho.

I'd have to agree with you Sarge. That was probably the injury that hurt the most. Recovering from hernia surgery hurt, but not nearly as long as the ribs did. And everything makes your ribs hurt, even breathing.

My left arm had compound fractures of both bones back in college, my arm was hanging at a 90 degree angle, it was pretty bad. That pain doesn't compare to the 4 times I have had broken ribs though, or any of my other broken bones. You can't cough, breathe, sneeze, laugh, or do shit when you have broken ribs.

I jam staples in my arm just to gross people out (need a tetanus shot bad) and I won't take a pain killer prescription from a doctor if he paid me. I have brainwashed myself to be able to withstand anything because I was raised by women and cried like a bitch when I got hurt when I was little. It embarrassed me in middle school to cry in front of a girl.
So, I taught myself to withstand pain which is really pretty easy to do when you realize it is all in your head.
HOWEVER.......two years ago my gall bladder became impacted and I had to have surgery. The first night I got symptoms I thought I was dying. I couldn't move, couldn't lie down. Tried to sleep on the floor or on the couch, nothing would ease it.
I sat there all night and told myself that I couldn't go to the hospital because I had to work that morning. Got about an hour of sleep due to exhaustion and tried to get up and go to work. Couldn't bend over to pick up a towel and realized that I should call an ambulance.
Decided against that and drove myself to the Urgent Care Clinic. 2 weeks later after hospitalization and surgery I was fine.
Googled it and found tons of women who had this and had also given birth and say that the gall bladder was worse.

I had my jaw broken in 5 places extended and 5 metal plates put in. Then it was wired shut for 30 days. I couldn't eat solid foods for almost 3 months.
Putting a steak in the blender is not the same.

My rib once popped out, but nothing hurt more than trying to walk on a foot with a recently-sliced ligament.

I had a Hang nail once. Never broke a bone in my life. I've jammed every finger, sprained everything there is to sprain. I've even dislocated my middle finger at the second joint and quickly yanked it back into place and just about passed out afterwards. But once every 4-5 years I seem to have back spasms that will put me down for a couple of days. And when that happens breathing even hurts.
