I know it is the internet. This just happened.

Went up to the barn for a second. Few deer grazing in the pasture as the sun is out but still pretty cold. Dogs all froze and growled. Got real nervous. Like they do when there is a rattlesanke close by. Jumpy and nervous and staying close to me. I caught a blur out of the corner of my eye. It was a mountain lion at a dead ass run....that sum bitch was moving. Tail was straight out the back. He tackled one of those does at a full speed run. Knocked that sum bitch 20 yards and he had his ass by the throat. All of this about 40 yards from me.
I just walked backwards to the gate and hauled ass to the house. Got my AK and went back and he and the deer are gone. I aint going looking for his ass either.
I never seen that shit except on TV. In real world it is pretty damn impressive. That sum bitch is one POWERFUL animal. He closed about 70-80 yards in 2 seconds. I still cannot believe how fast and powerful he is.

I'd love to watch something like that happen. I'm going to guess in the grand scheme of things people rarely do....you probably watched something very few ever get to see. I've watched hawks take out squirrels and chipmunks and stuff which is always pretty cool to watch but nothing compared to this. I saw a falcon take a pigeon out one time that was awesome. Still not even close though.

Hell yes. I was going to go pet him while he ate. But I aint from Iowa with my head up my fucking ass. Hell yes you can kill them. I have shot a couple in my lifetime. It is rare to see them. They are here though and numbers are growing. Today was a first.
