    Henrob 2000

I recently picked up a new toy for the garage. I got word that someone was selling a used Henrob torch setup and that I could probably pick it up for about half what it costs new. I checked it out and it appeared to be the base Henrob 2000 which had either not been used... or was used very little. I have never had a real "fire wrench" in my garage and have always wanted to get one. This seemed like the way to go.

I have watched demos at Carlisle before and it appears to work quite well. They have a video posted on the Henrob/DHC website with several welding and cutting operations featured. It is supposed to use a lot less gas than conventional torches and is advertised as being able to weld aluminum, cut sheet metal similar to a plasma cutter, cut up to 1" steel, weld cast iron, braze, solder, etc.

I will need to get hoses, tanks, gloves, goggles and a cart before I will be able to try the torch out on anything. Has anyone used one of these? Any other accessories I should consider?

I think plasma is only for cutting. This thing is supposed to do it all -- kind of like a veg-o-matic for the garage, I guess. That's why I was hoping someone else had one on here.

Good to hear! Once I get my parts washer back together, I need to go get the rest of the equipment to get this thing up and running.

That thing would be a great addition to a shop, I would rather have one over a plasma for certain projects and it has other uses unlike a plasma. good purchase
