intercooler in front of bumper
I wish I had had a camera on hand for this one to show you guys. The other day I saw either a Honda Civic or a BMW whatever model (the one that looks almost identical to a Civic) with an intercooler mounted outside the engine bay, in front of the bumper. I couldn't tell which model car it was because of the intercooler blocking my view of the front end of the car...
Has anyone ever seen this done? It was ridiculous looking. Would you even do this for a track only vehicle to get better cooling? Or would that impact the aeordynamics enough to counter the cooling benefits? Were they just morons, or am I missing some obvious benefit of that design?
Anyways, I just wanted to share...

Well if the intercooler is infront of the car, it means it gets to the destination sooner than the car, thus cooling the engine in the future to provide much better present-day engine performance.
It's just science, man.

Atleast they have the front bumper, you know how many ricers I seen without a front bumper but with an intercooler?

while this is true it still doesn't take away from the fact that you'd probably be laughing at it too hard to even notice the turbo. On the other hand though if a majority of them were able to shift correctly they'd be able to beat me....and they have......badly
...........so I guess as long it's a real intercooler they aren't actually ricers are they?
