If 9K is all you can afford then keep shopping the way you are.If you can afford to spend more then decide on your limit and find the car you really want not the one that is the cheapest.The extra money you spend will mean nothing in a month but having the right car lasts for a long time.If you want to see what cars are really selling for then go to fleebay and check off completed sales.What people are asking and what they are getting can be a big difference.If 2 cars of the same year were up for sale but the one you really want is 3K more then buy that car.I've bought and sold a lot of cars in my time and so many times I see someone buy the cheaper car and try to make it mint.They end up with the same or more money in that car then the more expensive one and the one they got is still not as nice as the one they should have bought.

stick to your offer ,maybe a vette for a low price ?.. i have seen both colors , not hot sellers, thats why they were droped ..

9K would be a decent buy. 113K means a lot of nasty history. Forget Carfaxfor sure and check your history on the DIC. Lots of stuff to check out before you buy. A definate project car.

I keep waffling on the idea of a c5 daily driver. Ive looked at 3 so far but didnt fall in love with any of them.

Branching out and looking at the g35 coupes now.

113K is nothing for a C5, they run for a lot longer than that aand that green was a rare color also looked like aftermarket exhaust. Would have been a good deal even at $13 around here.

Yeah they have a C5 that color at the NCM said they had a hard time matching the color so they droped it. It's rare if its mint.

The reason the colour is rare is because it looks like shit and no one wanted to order it.That's why GM didn't offer it anymore.I don't know of a lot of collectable C5s and I can't see a rare color making it worth that much more especially if it's not a good looking colour.If you could get a C5 in Majenta pink who would want it other then Barbie.I would expect the car to be cheaper as you would have to repaint it.

Well, all I can say is ... If you like green... which I do the green isn't that bad. It should be worth more.... But, in the end it's what you can get for the car. So, if that is 9-10K for a car in that color with 113K, then that's 9-10K. If it had like 10 miles it would be worth almost original cost... not that good to break even... You might as well have put the money in the bank ... Because after taxes reg and ins you would have lost in the end.

So, my point is there is very few cars that make money... So, enjoy your cars and drive them whenever you can. You never know what tomorrow will bring.
