*Official* Stanley Cup Playoff Thread
Ok after a one year hiatus the NHL play-offs are back on.
Here is the first round match-ups (seeding shown in brackets):
East
Ottawa Senators (1) vs Tampa Bay Lightning (8)
Carolina Hurricanes (2) vs Montreal Canadiens (7)
New Jersey Devils (3) vs New York Rangers (6)
Buffalo Sabres (4) vs Philadelphia Flyers (5)
West
Detroit Red Wings (1) vs Edmonton Oilers (8)
Dallas Stars (2) vs Colorado Avalanche (7)
Calgary Flames (3) vs Anaheim Mighty Ducks (6)
Nashville Predators (4) vs San Jose Sharks (5)
I am a Devils fan all the way back to 1988 ("have another donut you fat pig")
so I am pulling for the NJD all the way including all my bets/playoff pools.
Predictions, analysis, BS, etc, post it up here.
**Game On**

I see the Wings being at least a final four team.
Although for some reason I don't think they will win the cup.
Either way...should be one hell of a playoff year.

Taupe/Red- 2001 Trans Am Conv
The Devils will have no trouble with NY at all and may just go the finals. Elias makes a world of difference to that offense. The Flames are the team to beat out west. Remember that they basically have the same club, if not better, that went 7 games against the Lightning the last time around. Speaking of which, Tampa Bay just took game 2 from Ottawa and looked every bit like the Cup champs. Goaltending will be their Achilles heel though this year. Detroit is in panic mode with their two weak efforts against the Oilers and now they have to win one up in Alberta. Good luck! San Jose has the big MO on their side and shouldn't be a surprise to anyone anymore. Can't get enough of this stuff after a long year off.

Starting to think both sides are toss ups right now.
Lots of even teams.

Hockey sucks?
What sport do you gays like?......Golf, poker, Basketball maybe?
Anyways most of the series are tied and after tonights games they all could be 1-1!
I am surprized at all the Devils fans, that is kewl to see.
Come on Cave man you must be scared shitless after the first two games that your precious 'Dead Things' looked very weak.
Remember Detriot fans what happened the last time the Devils played the Red Wings in the finals?Last edited by SexOnWheels; 04-24-2006 at 06:39 AM.
