Dual Exhaust ?
Hey everyone.. I own a 99 Camaro SS. Bought it about a month ago.. I was just curious on this. I have been looking around for awhile but I have not been able to find off road h or x pipes. Are these Camaros set up to only run off the stock y pipe formation? any information would be helpful! thanks!

pretty much, you can run X pipes, but theyre usually custom made, never heard of anyone using an H pipe.
La Monte performance (LPP) makes a duals set up for our cars, its really nice, but it hangs low, and isnt inspection friendly in most states.

I am looking for something that goes over the axle. Im thinking about having it dump out at 3" but I might just keep it at 2.5"

Sorry, I didnt mean just the x-pipe.. after re-reading my post I confused myself as well.. I am looking for the full setup.. does anyone know how difficult it is to install? Every exhaust pro that I have called around here wont put on any off road pipes.. so im going to be stuck doing it myself if I decide to get them

the cheapest way is to have it custom done BUT alot of shops wont do true duals on these cars

If you want a true dual mandrel bent system for a 4th gen that you can simply bolt on and go over the axle then it's either this.....
Or this.....
Quite frankly the $600 price difference pretty much makes up my mind. I've seen and heard the Bassani setup, very nice system, and not obnoxiously loud.Last edited by Firebirdjones; 11-17-2010 at 05:25 PM.

There are no shops around here that will do anything with exhaust.. nor will they put headers on.. so all the exhaust set up will be left to me.. lol.. and im not trying to down grade you at all Firebirdjones.. but when it comes to my car... I want the best lol.. if the bassani is as good as ive heard then I will probably get that.. but I still need to know if the 2000 set up is the same as the 99

The photo shows one (exhaust pipe) that goes above the upper panhard rod support. The other one is below it and goes between the upper and axle. I would want both over the upper panhard. I know it is a Bassani exhaust but wonder if anyone has had damage to the pipe that goes between the upper and the axle.
