To change the notification settings for a Group you’re a member of, go to the Group and click the "Edit Settings" button on the top right corner of the page.
I don't see that as an option anywhere (in any of my groups)....

there's so much garbage on FB.. I've been known to spam every add they've put on my personal page till there was no more adds posted. Next day you get the same companies and bs adds but they are slightly changed.. Lots of tabloid crap.. I socialize here more than there anyways.. @ least here you don't get all the extra sheet you get on FB..

I wonder if I should have created a Page and not a Group

That's exactly it. I've been reading through facebook help and it seems like old groups (vs. the new ones) won't post wall updates in your news feeds. But if you create a page they will. I joined a group with the new layout, and I found the edit settings button. We have several options we can do. Leave it how it is; make a new group, or make a new page. I'm not 100% sure if making a new group would help though

It just seems kinda pointless to have a FB page and no one sees the updates or posts.

yup. I say we create a group with the "new" layout, test it out & see if it works...and if not create a page..

works for me. I'd send a mass message via facebook about the new page & that we're switching over.

Hmm..the group I have to approve users to be added. Don't like that.

seriously? Shouldn't there be an option to make it open so any one can join without approval? it would be a pain in the ass to have to approve everyone
