I just updated my Droid X to the 2.2 system and now I have no App Market. It says "This application is not installed on this phone". WTF? Has anyone else experience this, or does anyone know how to fix it?

Whoa that's bizarre. Did you do the official update through Verizon? Or did you load a leaked version?

I was just talking about this with a friend. He said after his phone updated from 2.1 to 2.2 weird stuff started happening. He did a factory reset on the phone (I don't have one, not sure how you do it) and he said after that it still came up as 2.2, but everything worked properly again. Don't know if that will work for you, or if there are any potential negative consequences, but it may be something to consider.

official version through my phone. went to settings and phone info and it found an update. i loaded it in and my phone reset like it's supposed to and now there is no app market. i guess i'm just going to have to go to a vzw store or call tech support.

You can do a soft reset by yourself and not lose your contacts or anything else saved on your SD card. I've had to do one On my last Droid.

My Droid X started acted retarded as hell after I updated to 2.2. Went to the verizon store and they said its pretty common. Mine started working normal again or else I would have done the factory reset.

My Droid was completely ruined from the flash update. It seriously screwed with my life as at the time I was traveling all over the USA for work. I had to get a new phone finally, seriously pissed me off.
My factory reset option is located :
Settings>Privacy>Factory data reset.
Call verizon, ask for an American, and discuss if this would be a smart decision to make given your issues.
In the end, you'll just have to re-download all your apps from the market (saved) and re-do your homepage setup. Not having the market to begin with, could cause some problems afterwards if it does not fix the issue though

Glad to see its not just the iphone that has shitty updates. Ever since the 4.0 updates I have wanted to break my iphone. I am actually thinking about switching because of it, been waiting 2+months for the next update(which i'm only hoping will fix my problem).

i called verizon and they told me to take my battery out for a min and then put it back in. it didn't work, so i need to call from a different phone so the tech support can fiddle with it or some crap like that.

My droid has had no issues what so ever. And I beat the shit out of it. I was drunk one night, really really drunk. Fumbled it, and one of those times where you go to grab it real quick, but instead of grabbing it, you just hit it and propel it harder into the ground. Can't believe no damage. Case was chipped, but those are like 5 bucks.

my update went normal. A factory reset seems to fix the issue your having though. you would just need to backup everything before hand. If you had titanium backup or something like that it would make it real easy.
