Sounds about what I would expect, You have about 275hp and they were rated at about 305hp from what I recall (Unless my mind is going and Im confused). I know there was a year where it appeared Ford overrated the Cobra hp and had some pretty upset customers, maybe it was in 97..?
Personally I would not own a Stang unless it was a 03-04 Cobra or GT500 but they Stangs are still ok in my book.

actually i was kinda thinking of working my way up to an 03-04 cobra for a DD
i plan on starting with this cobra..putting some money into it and reselling it closer to spring. it will bring between 8-9.5G in oklahoma after im done with it..and the 94 will not bring more than 6 or so.
i have noticed cobras have gone down in price abit for 03's with a few miles on them and my car will be paid off next year so i am gonna see if i cant get a 03-04 cobra or STI by next spring/summer
my car has a maaco paint job..and every gets scared of that even though i have never had any troubles with them
ta has 149,xxx cobra has 101,xxx and 96-98 cobras did make around the claimed HP there actually pretty quickLast edited by TmaxicanA; 09-26-2010 at 06:18 PM.

The 99 & 01 Cobra were rated at 305hp. The 99's had the problem. They dynoed around 250 to the wheel. The race should have been close with the LT1 having a slight edge. It was only a 97 cobra. Was he stock?

Not quite, you had to reprogram the pcm,but the recall included a cat back exhaust too,I think something else, but the dealership I worked at was not svt so we didn't perform ant of those recalls.
