gave them the paint code off the RPO sticker. they had to use BASF water-based equivilent, since this country is turning into environmental babies and laqueor based paints are heavily regulated, blah, blah, blah, etc.

my guess is this was the closest they could come up with. again, not perfect, and still need to do the headlight covers. not sure i want to attempt to blend because blending metallic paint is a PITA...

could be also that the rest of the car..because of poor storage is bleached and should be the same color as the hood if it was in good condition ?

yes, that as well. i forgot to mention that in my previous post. that's what makes blending a metallic paint challenging. however, even if that is the cause, which are all factors to take into consideration, the overall condition of the paint on the rest of the car is amazing, despite the typical dents, dings, scratches, etc. i just polished the car this morning and it looks great. will wax it tmrw.

have you taken the car to a detailer...maybe cut a layer off the paint might darken up the rest of the car to match closer
