Grand Prix needs some tires...
Need some all-seasons or something that does good in the winter for a decent price.
What do you guys use on your DD's?
225/60/16 is the size.
The local sears has some that have some decent looking tread on them for only 60 a piece. 50k warranty. Can't even remember the name, definitely not a big company.
Never had a car long enough to buy new tires...well except the camaro, but that's different kind of tire.

I always pampered the Camaro when it came to tires...
With the cheapest Walmart had to offer.

IDK, but the all season michelin pilot's I got were like 300 a piece and lasted 15k miles. Be warned.
If you want cheap...My dad always puts cooper on his car.

i wouldn't go with the fuzions. a friend of mine had a set and he said that they were great for the first couple of months and then they went to shit. no traction wet or dry...and it was the middle of the summer. and when it came to winter...forget about it.
i'd look at a set of yokohama avid v4...if they are still producing that line. i used to have them on my monte carlo. liked them enough to pick up a 2nd set. and they were right around $120 each so they didn't kill the bank. my parents also got a set on their cadillac when they had it and my dad loved them. compared to the goodyears he had on their before he said that on ice and snow he could hit the gas and just GO. the good years would sit and spin.
oh...and i'd get around 40k out of the yokohamas. they aren't a super soft tire but they are a bit softer than the average so they wear a bit quicker...but again...price...couldn't hardly beat it for an all season tire.

2000 Grand Prix GTP- 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6
I have a GTP as a daily driver, but I put performance tires on her. I push her to limit all of the time...140mph+ and she corners like a champ...I can't help it I love going fast and having fun.
To answer the question: Yokohama S. Drives

Ok thanks for tip, those yokohama's aren't made in my size on tirerack.com
If I'm feeling a little wild, I might go 70 on the interstate.
Yea I looked at those, u have them? They aren't getting the best ratings for snow.Last edited by allbaugh_04; 09-22-2010 at 11:06 AM.

05 Ducati 999- 06 Mazdaspeed6
I got a GTP as well. The Stock tires that come on them are the Michelin Symmetry. Decent Tire if your not looking for anything special out of them. DO Not get Dunlops! i have a set on my car now and they are terribly noisy! my dad had a set on his truck and they were the same way.

My buddy had some Nitto NT460's on his GP. THey handled great and lasted like 55,000 miles too.

Liquid Red- 2008 Pontiac G8 GT
I bought 2 sets of BFGoodrich Traction T/A V-Rated when I had my GTP. They were decent all season tires (even in WI winters,) and they were even decent for the track. My lowly 13 second GTP hooked pretty well with those tires. On my current car (2004 Maxima) I also have Traction T/A's but they're H-Rated. The previous owner put those on before he traded it in.

Dunlop SP60. Cheap. Aggressive. Truck-like.
Made a brand new SUV out of my moms Taurus.
