Blue 1997 Trans Am(Sold)- Pewter 2001 Trans Am Vert
Not to piss on anyones parade, but this has been brought up many times. It is basically the most irrelevant thing ever. I think everyone here is just interested as a basic fyi which is great. I just hope that no one ever really gives a shit about this because its not important. The only semi noteable difference is slightly better oiling. Thats it, LS6 isn't stronger in any respectable way. If you're serious about building up these motors that isn't going to be a determining factor in any way.
I've never heard that the LS6 has better cooling then the LS1. Since you never hear anyone having cooling problems with an LS1 that can be resolved with an LS6 block, again I would say this is irrelevant.

Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
Doesnt make a difference in performance that is true, but there is nothing wrong with being a little curious about what block you have. Just another little fact you can learn your car

From everything I have read, my best recollection is that the LS6 block's primary difference is additional windage between the internal cavities.
