$600 what to get?
On the 1st I'm getting an extra $600. My sig has all that I've done so far. Simply put I'm looking to get the most out of my $600. My goals for this car is eventually get a LS6 with cam and heads installed within a yr or 2.
Looking for some ideas for now.
So far I've come up with all of these that are under $600:
Line Lock $130
Polished Throttle Body by S2 Performance $160
LS6 Intake $550
UMI Tunnel Brace Mounted and Torque Arm w/ DSL for LT's $390
UMI Front and Rear Sway Bar Kit $320 - $390 (want to get but not sure because I want to upgrade to a 9", not sure if these would fit)
UMI Tubular Adjustable Lower Control Arms $170
UMI On-Car Panhard Bar w/ Poly Bushing & Roto-Joint, Adjustable $140
I know I can't get them all but any other things I should consider
I'm sticking with UMI because I like their products so far and I feel that since I started with them I'll do the whole suspension with them. Everyone has there own opinion so no flame jobs, just asking for advice.http://www.ls1.com/forums/f7/my-6-liter-build-174257/

Well I would say if you are wanting to use it the best possible way, and your going to be getting a ls6 anyway. Just throw that money into some kind of high interest account and use it for a car build fund IMO. That way when you have money set aside to have funds for the build and what not. And while you are doing the build just do everything at the same time.

not in this economy. I believe the stock market is going to crash by Oct and we are already in a depression. So I scrap by and get the parts when I can.

I would probably go with intake, line locks, or the control arms. Or maybe just use the 600 on multiple things. OH btw not trying to thread jack but heartbreak, agony, and misery is the answer to your question.

Custom Swirly Black- 2001 WS6 M6
I'm sticking with UMI as well. Panhard will be on the way for me this winter.
I just got/will be getting:
Electric fan controls if you go the track. SLP's are ~$75
Ashtray switches (shift light/cutout/linelock/fans) from afterthoughts ~50
Dual shiftlight (launching/shifting), for the track to make sure I'm not over working the car ~110

if you get the front /rear sway bar set, and you think you might be switching to a 9",umi makes aftermarket rear end sway bar relocation brackets for that problem...i think theyre around $80 w/shipping...i have a stock rear end still,l and i had to get that kit cause i got a mac rear end gurdle and the sway bar would hit up against the thicker diff. cover...

you should be able to a used LS6 intake and Shaner TB for well under $600 and that would be my suggestion.
Used LS6 intake should be no more than $350 to your door. Often times less then that.

After a lid, catback and SFC's, I started building the rest of our car from the back to the front. Upgraded the suspension pieces and rear first -- more power will come at a later date. It just didn't make sense to start throwing money into engine mods with all the weak stock stuff still under the car.

I took the same approach as Jeff. Engine last. I would go for the LCAs and PHB...and if you are taking it to the track, a line lock is a nice additional for burnouts in a M6. I just used mine for the first time about a month ago. I love it.
