This is a lot more than a paint job. Did you actually look at what they have changed on the car? The sticker package is hideous but the rest of the car was done right

I think you missed the part about it not just being a different paint job

Engine, suspension, brakes, wheels, steering, all uprgraded over a GT. It isn't a sticker package that most manufacturers put on their "special editions"

Ford is really whooping ass nowadays. Not just with the Mustang's, but with pretty much everything. IMO, GM's current lineup looks pretty weak when compared to Ford's.

why would gm need to come out with something to compete with it? they have a wide range of performance oriented cars for the public to choose from. and lets face it, most people who buy a camaro or mustang done have great handling as #1 on there mind.

That's true man, but that wasn't quite where I was headed.

The SS has a hard time competing with the new 5.0 Mustang and the Z28isn't looking too promising IMO. And now that Ford has come out with the BOSS which will most likely outperform the SS in pretty much every single performance based category possible I'm sure, what do they have out there that will be able to compete with this car for the money? Car and Driver is predicting 36k for the base BOSS and 40k for the Laguna Seca.

that peformance can easily be matched or exceed--- gm already has the drivetrains for it. but they will likely only put the package together if the market demands it. and will most of the general public want to spend the extra money for a camaro that handles like a vette? not very likely. like i previously posted i dont believe this will be a hot seller. ford puts all their chips into the mustang because it's their flagship model with various trim packages. the camaro is not gm's flagship model.
