I think I broke something on the back of my intake manifold though. Its a plastic cylinder that looks like it broke from the connection it was on. Any of you guys know what it is? I can post pics later after work if you need em[/QUOTE]
You broke the oil pressure sending unit. Lots of people do it. Careful with the vacuum lines when you rip it off next time lol

X2. Most probably the oil sending unit. No worries, im sure a good number of ppl did the same when installing the LS6 intake.

Well last night we took the crank off and the cam out and the bearings got scratched a little bit. Is it going to be detrimental if I dont change them out or will they be fine?

I wouldn't advise reusing any scratched bearings.
Ofcourse the level of severity matters; if it's minor, I don't worry about it but if it's noticeable when running your finger over the bearing surface, or if you can see the scratch through a thin layer of oil on the bearing, change it.----

You can feel it with your finger but its almost like more of a scuff then a scratch and you cant really see it you have to feel it.

I would change it. You got the motor apart and it would suck if u put it back together then gave to tear it back open just for that.

To Swap, or not to swap, that is the question.
